Demi Lovato is definitely one of the popular teenage stars of today. This American actress and singer-songwriter is best known for her role as Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock and its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.Born in Dallas, Texas, Demi began first on the children's television series Barney and Friends, alongside long time friend and fellow Disney star Selena Gomez, at the age of seven. In January 2007, she landed the role of Charlotte Adams on the Disney Channel Original Short Series, As the Bell Rings.
The young star catapulted to stardom when she was cast alongside Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas in the Disney Channel film, Camp Rock. In 2009, Demi co-starred with Selena Gomez in Princess Protection Program. The movie is the fourth highest rated Disney Channel Original Movie, and premiered on Disney Channel with 8.5 million viewers. She then went on to star in the Disney Channel Original Series, Sonny With a Chance, which premiered in February 2009.
