Hannah Montana is an American television series that debuted in March 2006 on Disney Channel. It stars Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, and Jason Earles. The series focuses on a girl named Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) who lives a double life as an average teenage school girl by day and a famous pop singer named Hannah Montana by night, concealing her real identity from the public, other than her close friends and family.Created by Michael Poryes, Rich Correll, and Barry O'Brien, the show has been renewed for the fourth and final season, which was produced from January to May 2010. The final season is expected to premiere in July 2010 and is being promoted as Hannah Montana Forever.
Hannah Montana and its soundtrack albums are a commercial hit, catapulting Miley Cyrus to stardom. The sitcom also spawned two successful movies -- one is a concert film presented in 3-D, which is Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, and the other one is the film adaptation of the series, Hannah Montana: The Movie.
