Mad About You is an American sitcom which starred Paul Reiser (Paul Buchman) and Helen Hunt (Jamie Stemple Buchman) as a newly married couple in New York City. Paul was a documentary film maker and Jamie was a public relations specialist. Near the end of the tv show's run, the couple had a baby daughter, whom they named Mabel.

The series focused on the newlyweds as they dealt with everything from their humorous daily minutiae to major struggles. The show was compared to Seinfeld, another NBC comedy about thirty-somethings in New York City, because of its willingness to find comedy in realistic situations and observational dialogue.

Mad About You was aired on NBC from 1992 to 1999. And with their contracts calling for them to be paid equally, Hunt and Reiser were paid $1 million per show for the last season.
