Glee tv showGlee is a musical comedy-drama television series that airs on Fox in the United States, and on Global in Canada. Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan, the show focuses on the high school glee club New Directions competing on the show choir competition circuit, while its members deal with relationships, sexuality, and social issues. The series features on-screen performance-based musical numbers that are selected by Murphy, who aims to maintain a balance between show tunes and chart hits.

Glee's initial main cast encompassed club director and Spanish teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison), cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays), Will's ex-wife Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig), and eight club members played by Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Lea Michelle, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Mark Salling, and Jenna Ushkowitz. For the second season, formerly recurring cast members Mike O'Malley, Heather Morris, and Naya Rivera were promoted to the main cast.

The show is a huge success and has received a number of awards and nominations, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series -- Musical or Comedy (2010 and 2011). In July 2010, Glee received 19 Emmy Award nominations and won 4. Its musical performances have also been a commercial success, with over 20 million copies of Glee cast single releases purchased digitally, and over 9 million albums purchased worldwide. The show's pilot episode was broadcast on May 19, 2009, and the first season aired from September 9, 2009 to June 8, 2010. The second season aired from September 21, 2010 to May 24, 2011, and a third season has already been commissioned.

Hellcats tv showHellcats is an American cheerleading comedy-drama television series that originally aired on The CW in the United States for one season, from September 2010 to May 2011. The show stars Aly Michalka, Ashley Tisdale, Robbie Jones, Heather Hemmens, Matt Barr, Gail O'Grady, and Sharon Leal.

Hellcats focuses in the lives of college cheerleaders, mainly Marti Perkins (Michalka), a pre-law college student who has to join the cheerleading team, the Hellcats, in order to get the athletic scholarship she needs. The series was based on the book Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders by journalist Kate Torgovnick.

The show has been described as "Election" meets "Bring It On" by critics. It also earned a nomination in the 2011 People's Choice Awards. Initially with a 13-episode order, The CW later gave a full season order for the series. And in May 2011, it was announced that the show would not be renewed for the 2011 fall schedule.
