Dharma and Greg tv showDharma & Greg is an American television situation comedy about a couple who married instantly on their first date despite being complete opposites. The tv series was aired from 1997 to 2002 and Created and executive-produced by Dottie Dartland and Chuck Lorre.

The tv show starred Jenna Elfman and Thomas Gibson as Dharma and Greg Montgomery. Dharma was extremely peppy, ditzy, and eccentric while Greg was upright, uptight, and decent, making them a very odd couple. In addition, Dharma was homeschooled by her parents, thus she had a limited understanding of Western culture and was very naïve when it comes to trusting strangers. Greg, on the other hand, was a lawyer and an alumnus of the famous Phillips Exeter Academy, Harvard University, and Stanford Law School. Though their relationship had been rocky at times, the couple had never been shown to regret their marriage.

Dharma & Greg was a top-20 fixture in the US during its first three seasons. The comedy incorporated in the show took much of its inspiration from so-called culture-clash "fish out of water" situations. It earned Elfman a Golden Globe for Best Actress, out of a total of eight nominations, and moreover garnered six Emmy and Satellite Awards nominations respectively.
