Celebrity Feature: Zach Braff

Zach Braff in Scrubs tv showZach Braff is not your average American celebrity. Besides being a television and film actor, he is also a director, a screenwriter, and a producer, all in one. His first Hollywood appearance was in Woody Allen's 1993 film Manhattan Murder Mystery.

Braff catapulted to fame via the hit tv show Scrubs, in which he played the lead role of John "J.D." Dorian. He has been nominated for three Golden Globes and an Emmy for his role as the offbeat doctor. In addition to directing several episodes of Scrubs, Braff wrote, directed, and starred in 2004's Garden State, which was filmed in his home state of New Jersey. He was also the producer of the film's soundtrack which earned him a Grammy Award for "Best Compilation Soundtrack For A Motion Picture".

Braff also directed several music videos and has done voice-acting, having voiced the title character for the Disney animated film Chicken Little (2005). His filmography includes Broken Hearts Club (2000), Blue Moon (2000), The Last Kiss (2005), The Ex (2007), and the upcoming films Open Hearts and New York, I Love You, both for release this year.
